College of Big Data and Information Engineering of Guizhou University successfully held the first Cup by Cup electronic design competition in the afternoon of May 15, 2023 in Chongli Building 204. 

Before the competition began, the secretary of the college Youth League Committee, Ma Yuanyuan, emphasized that this event was a vivid practice of studying and implementing the educational theme of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, as well as a vivid portrayal of the organic combination of technological innovation and serving the country through technology. She hoped that the students would adhere to the principle of friendship first, competition second, strictly abide by the laboratory safety management regulations, enhance their skills through competition, showcase their talents through learning, and fulfill their original aspirations through application. She also wished the students good luck in achieving excellent results.

After the host explained the competition topics and distributed the materials, the participants began their careful and meticulous design and production work. Each contestant adhered to a rigorous and innovative design concept, a serious and attentive creative attitude, and carefully crafted the electronic components in their hands. After the competition, the judges scored the participants' works based on four aspects: basic part, functional part, appearance, and completion effect. Ultimately, Zhang Xiong from Telecom 2204 won the first prize, Ji Jingdu from Communication 212 won the second prize, and Chen Jun from Communication 202 won the third prize.

This activity strengthened our school's teaching philosophy of cultivating talents through practice, demonstrated the electronic design level of students in information science, created a good atmosphere of academic mentoring among all grades, stimulated students' enthusiasm for learning, enhanced students' innovative consciousness in practice, improved students' teamwork ability and ability to integrate theory with practice, and laid a good foundation for selecting and reserving outstanding talents for the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition.
